Test Designer

Test Designer takes ICAP/4's most abundant analog, mixed-signal and mixed-engineering systems simulation offering (ICAP/4 Professional), and adds in full test diagnosis for isolating faults across designs. Several methods can be used to specify pass/fail criteria for a wide variety of prescribed measurements at design nodes and in components (i.e., user-prescribed limits, derivation from lab measurements and 3-sigma range obtained from Monte Carlo statistical run). Extensive fault injection is then performed throughout the design, which automatically injects fault conditions (i.e., open, short, stuck-at value) in components. A fault universe is automatically generated for all fault conditions. A weighted test-sequencing algorithm is run, which reports detected faults and quality of fault coverage. Test Designer also generates pseudo test code for export to automated test equipment.

ICAP/4 Professional

ICAP/4 Professional is ICAP/4's premiere offering. It features Intusoft's patented SpiceNet design entry system and today's most capable SPICE kernel of 4-th generation technology “IsSpice4.” A wealth of debugging features include: on-the-fly component changes (including expressions) with real-time waveforms; full-featured "IntuScope" waveform viewer including 125 waveform processing functions; cross-probing from schematic to display waveforms directly on the design or in IntuScope; powerful scripting language for optional user interaction with IsSpice4 and IntuScope; real-time waveform display as simulations progress, three modes of updating previously viewed waveform date from repetitive design changes and simulation runs; and component stress alarms that flag out-of-tolerance operation.

Design verification analyses are extensive in ICAP/4 Professional. They include Monte Carlo , worst case, extreme value, root summed squares and nested component sweeping. An optimizer is provided for automatic calculation of passive component values that satisfy a user-specified design objective. Electrical measurements can be automatically assigned and charted across the design in numerical format, including histogram pass/fail from limits prescribed by the user. Also, a host of component modeling and part management tools , component library of 23,000+ devices , and extensive power-electronic and RF simulation capability are part of ICAP/4 Professional. Notable features with the power electronic and RF offering include 30 power supply design templates that employ the industry's leading provision of advanced passive and magnetic devices, each modeled with second order effects, custom ICs and fast hysteretic average models for SMPS design; 2-port analysis; pole-zero analysis and Smith charts. Finally, the offering provides the industry's only full fault synthesis program for injecting fault conditions across designs.

ICAP/4Windows RF Deluxe
This ICAP/4 offering scales down the ICAP/4 Professional offering (above) by omitting the Power, Mechantronic, and SALT (Spice Array Linking Technology) libraries. It provides only single fault injection in designs rather than fully-automated fault coverage.

ICAP/4Windows Power/RF Deluxe
This product combines the above ICAP/4Windows Power Deluxe and ICAP/4Windows RF Deluxe products. In short it adds Smith Charts and 600+ RF models to the ICAP/4Windows Power Deluxe product.

ICAP/4 Windows scales down the ICAP/4 Professional offering (above) by omitting its RF, Power, Mechantronic, and SALT (Spice Array Linking Technology) libraries. It also does not contain Smith charts and 2-port analysis. It provides single fault injection in designs rather than fully-automated fault diagnosis.

ICAP/4Rx RF Deluxe
ICAP/4Rx Power Deluxe extends the ICAP/4Rx offering (below) with extended capability for RF circuits. "RF Deluxe" employs IsSpice4's enhanced algorithms for RF design. It also includes 2-port analysis, Smith charts, and 600+ extra devices geared for RF design.

ICAP/4 Power Deluxe extends the ICAP/4Rx offering (below) with extended capability for power electronic design. "Power Deluxe" employs IsSpice4's special algorithms for power electronic design, including an additional power library of about 1,200 devices. 30 power supply design templates employ custom ICs and fast hysteretic average models for SMPS design.
